This article aims to reflect upon a possible path for the relatively fast growing medium of children’s literature in the subcontinent with a very particular focus on inclusion. In the expansion in volume of producing children’s literature in the past two and a half decades ( 2000 – 2025) , ‘both production and consumption of children’s books are mere drops in terms of actual needs’ ( (Menon S, Rao S (Eds), Children’s Books An Indian Story , Eklavya Foundation, 2024).
